Tip of the day: Channel mode +f is a powerful anti-flood feature. It is also slightly complex. Enable it in your most important channels, and consider setting a default in set::modes-on-join.

Everyone running UnrealIRCd 3.2.x had 12 months to upgrade from 3.2.x to 4.x between Dec 2015 and Dec 2016.

On January 1, 2017 all support for UnrealIRCd 3.2.x stopped. You should not be using UnrealIRCd 3.2.x anymore as security fixes are no longer available.

Advice: Upgrade to UnrealIRCd 5

You should upgrade to UnrealIRCd 5. To see what's new, check out What's new in UnrealIRCd 4 and What's new in UnrealIRCd 5.

UnrealIRCd comes with a simple tool to convert your existing 3.2.x configuration files to 5.x format to make upgrading easy, see Upgrading from 3.2.x.
